Phyllis was born to Paul & Helen Lane on February 3rd 1931 in Kingston Hospital, Kingston, New York. The family moved to Ridgefield Park NJ in 1937. They lived in several small towns in NJ the last one being Cresskill NJ. Phyllis, her parents and four of her siblings moved from Cresskill on 26 December 1944 arriving in Ridgecrest on 7 January 1945. It was one month before her 14th birthday.
