Longtime Ridgecrest resident Samuel James Coy Knopf died Jan. 10, 2016 in Ridgecrest as a result of an accident. He was 25.Sam was born Oct. 18, 1990 in Bakersfield and was previously a resident of Olancha and Inyokern.
